50+ Scholarships with May 2022 Deadlines


The following scholarships include opportunities for high school students, undergraduate students, graduate school students, doctorate students, Female students, African American students, and Hispanic Students.


1st Financial Bank Financial Goals Scholarship. This is a monthly scholarship open to US residents age 18 and older who are planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a college degree program. This is a drawing or sweepstakes scholarship.

Award: $2000. Deadline: Last day of every month


Achievers in Technology Program. This scholarship is from Sankofatech and is open to high school seniors of African descent who are pursuing a STEM degree program.

Award: up to $2000. Deadline: May 7th


AED Superstore Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors or current college students, who are US citizens. Applicants must find a creative way to raise awareness in your community around CPR.

Award: $1000. Deadlines: May 31st and November 30th.


Agota M. Bardos Award. This scholarship is open to high school seniors who are 1st or 2nd generation immigrants residing in the United States with a commitment to visual arts or music. Award: $1000. Deadline: May 1st.


AIAS Scholarship. This scholarship is offered from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Foundation. Applicants must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student or an early professional intending to pursue a career in any aspect of game development including but not limited to: art, animation, programming, engineering, game direction, game design, sound design, law, marketing, and business administration.

Award: amount is not disclosed. Deadline: May 31st.


American Indian Graduate Center Scholarships. The American Indian Graduate Center provides multiple scholarships for high school, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and professional program students. Applicants must be able to demonstrate Tribal affiliation.

Award: amounts vary. Deadline: for the high school application is May 1st / undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate application is June 1st.


Ashoori Law Good Deeds Scholarship. This scholarship is open to enrolled or soon to be enrolled undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated an act of kindness on another person or have an ongoing history of performing acts of kindness.

Award: $1000. Deadline: May 1st.


Association on American Indian Affairs Scholarship. This scholarship is for enrolled full time students in 2-year, 4-year or graduate programs with a 2.5 minimum GPA. Applicants must be directly recognized as a citizen member of their Tribe, which may be federally or non-federally recognized.

Award: amounts are not disclosed. Deadline: May 31st.


Betty Stevens-Frecknall Scholarship. This scholarship is open to current undergraduate students with a GPA minimum of 3.0, who are pursuing a degree in computer science or information technology.

Award: amount is not disclosed. Deadline: May 31st.


Brower Youth Award for Environmental Leadership. This scholarship is from the Earth Island Institute. Students ages 13-22 who have been youth environmental change leaders are encouraged to apply. Students from the US, Mexico, Canada and Caribbean countries are eligible to apply.

Awards: up to $3000 plus a trip to California. Deadline: TBD.


Byron Hanke Fellowship Scholarship. This scholarship is open to graduate, doctoral or law students seeking to implement projects related to the development, management, governance of common interest communities and community associations. This scholarship is from the Foundation for Community Association Research, FCAR.

Awards: up to $5000 per year. Deadline: May 1st.


CBSMF Scholarship. This scholarship from the Charles B. Staata Memorial Foundation is open to graduating high school seniors who are swim coaches.

Award: $2500. Deadline: May 27th.


CGCS Bernard Harris Scholarship. This scholarship is open to Black and Hispanic high school seniors from high school districts of the Council of the Great City Schools pursuing STEM fields. Multiple scholarships awarded. Award: $5000. Deadline: May 6th.


Cameron Impact Scholarship. This scholarship from the Bryan Cameron Education Foundation is open to high school seniors with a GPA of 3.7 or higher, who plan to have a significant impact on the world. This is not a need-based scholarship. Award: $20,000 - $50,000 per year. Deadline: early deadline is in May but the regular deadline is September 11th.


Carrington-Philbert Scholarship Program. This scholarship is open to African-American high school students who plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year college program. Award: $2500. Deadline: May 1st.


Countdown to College Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school students in grades 9-12. This scholarship is a drawing. Award: $1000. Deadline: May 5th.


EFWA Post-Graduate Scholarship. This scholarship is open to women pursuing PhD degrees in accounting. There are no age restrictions for this opportunity. Awards: up to $5000. Deadline: May 15th.


Employment BOOST Academic Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors and 2 year and 4 year college students in the US with a GPA of 3.6 or higher. This scholarship is open to students pursuing any major. 1 scholarship will be given to a student pursuing any major and a 2nd scholarship will be given to a student pursuing business or STEM fields. Awards: $1000. Deadlines: accepted year-round on a rolling basis.


Faith Hope and Love Jesus Inc. Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students who are childhood cancer and blood disorder survivors. Write an essay on any topic. This is a scholarship where using ready-to-go materials is possible. Award: $500. Deadline: May 1st.


FMC Skaters Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors from New England, who participate in ice skating, figure skating or recreational skating at an FMC arena. Award: amount not disclosed. Deadline: May 1st.


Full Circle Scholarship. This scholarship from the American Indian College Fund is open to US and Canadian students who are enrolled in a certificate, associate, undergraduate or graduate program. Applicants must be registered as an enrolled member of a federal or state recognized Tribe, or a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent, who is an e enrolled Tribal member. Must have a 2.0 minimum GPA. Award: amounts are not disclosed to the public. Deadline: May 31st.


Girls for Gaming Scholarship. This scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate or graduate students as well as young professionals within their first 2 years of employment, who are pursuing careers in any aspect of the business of game development including but not limited to: law, public relations/marketing, business management, and human resources. Award: amount is not disclosed. Deadline: May 31st.


Heartland Goldens and Mini Goldendoodles Veterinarian Scholarship. This scholarship is given to high school seniors pursuing degrees in animal science, animal nutrition, animal breeding and genetics, biological sciences, pre-vet services or veterinary medicine. Award: $500. Deadline: May 30th.


Hsiao Memorial Sciences Scholarship. This scholarship is open to graduate level students with a 3.0 GPA who have financial need. Applicants may be pursuing careers in social sciences or economics. Preference is given to applicants of Asian descent, although not required. Award: $1000. Deadline: May 16th.


Innovation in Education Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school and college students who have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others with a GPA minimum of 3.0. Open to students in the US and Canada. Award: $500 and repeats monthly. Deadline: 20th of every month.


International Essential Tremor Foundation. This scholarship is open to high school graduates of any age who have been diagnosed with ET, have a GPA minimum of 2.5 and are attending a licensed accredited institution. Award: $1000. Deadlines are: October 31st and May 1st.


Ivey Engineering Scholarship. This scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who will be attending college in the fall or current college students. Applicants do not need to be pursuing engineering fields. Award: $1000. Deadline: May 1st.


Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Young Scholars Program. This scholarship is open to 7th-12th grade students with demonstrated financial need. Award provides extensive support for multiple years. There are multiple scholarships awarded. Award: amount is not disclosed. Deadline: May 9th


Laws101.com Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students attending or planning to attend a graduate law school in the United States. Award: $2500. Deadline: May 31st.


Leon Bradley Scholarship Program. This scholarship is open to minority students pursuing degrees in teaching or educational leadership. This scholarship is offered from the American Association of School Personnel Administrators. Awards: $3500. Deadline: May 31st.


Lily Pabilona Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors, undergraduate or graduate Asian American students pursuing entrepreneurship. Awards: up to $5000. Deadline: May 31st.


#LiveLikeLyly Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is open to Asian American students attending full time vocational, technical, 2-year, 4-year or graduate degree programs in fashion or graphic design. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Award: $1000. Deadline: May 31st.


Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity. This scholarship is open to high school juniors, seniors and college freshmen who have solved an artistic, scientific or technical problem in a new or unusual way. Applicants may have found a solution to a problem faced by their school, community or family. This is a renewable scholarship. Award: up to $20,000. Deadline: May 3rd.


MyMozaic Scholarship. This monthly scholarship is open to US citizens ages 13 and older.. This is a scholarship sweepstakes drawing. Award: $1,000. Deadline: last day of every month


NAAMLP Scholarship. This scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students who intend to work as scientists, engineers or technicians in the field of mine reclamation, environmental sciences or remediation. Award: $2500. Deadline: May 31st.


NASRA Foundation. This scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who will be enrolled into a 4-year college program in the upcoming semester, along with current undergraduate students. Applicants must be of Indian descent. Award: $2500. Deadline: May 1st.


NeW Essay Contest. This scholarship is from the Network of Enlightened Women. It is open to female high school seniors and undergraduate students who are US citizens. Award: $500. Deadline: May 2nd.


New York Ramblers Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors or current undergraduate students who identify as LBGTQ+ or a demonstrated ally. Award: $2500. Deadline: May 1st.


OptimizeMyFirm Scholarship for Students with Disabilities. This scholarship is open to high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA, who have a physical disability. Award: $500. Deadline: May 15th.


Price it Here, Inc. Scholarship. This scholarship is open to all students planning to enroll or are currently enrolled full time at a US college or university. Students must be pursuing business, business management, advertising, sales, marketing or related fields. There is no GPA requirement and according to the scholarship description, “at no time will we request a date of birth or social security number”. Award: $1,000. Deadlines: May 1st and November 1st.


ProStart Scholarships. Multiple scholarships available for New York and Vermont college students pursuing culinary arts, hospitality management or a related field. Award: up to $2000. Deadline: May 27th.


RISE Financial Progress Scholarship. This scholarship is open to current college students and graduating high school seniors who will be enrolled at a trade school, or college part-time or full-time in the upcoming semester. Must have a GPA minimum of 2.5. Award: $2500. Deadline: May 3rd.


Save a Life Scholarship. This scholarship is from the American Academy of CPR and First Aid. It is open to high school seniors or current college students pursuing or planning to pursue careers in either healthcare or education. Award: $1500. Deadlines: May 1st and October 1st.


SeniorCare.com Aging Matters Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors who will be enrolled into a 2 or 4-year undergraduate program as well as current undergraduate students. Applicants must be currently caring for an aging loved one, work within the senior community or aspire to work in a role that assists elder population. Award: $1500. Deadline: May 15th.


Sila Foundation Post-Secondary Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students enrolled in a post-secondary school, who are pursuing careers in business, finance, accounting, actuarial science, insurance or information technology. Multiple awards are offered. Award: $1000. Deadline: May 31st.


The Trotter Project’s Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors or current college students pursuing culinary arts, baking/pastry or hospitality with a GPA minimum of 2.5. Award: up to $10,000. Deadline: May 15th.


There’s Space for Everyone Scholarship. This scholarship is from ExtraSpace Storage and requires applicants to write about diversity and inclusion. This scholarship is open to high school seniors, who will be an incoming college student, current undergraduate and graduate students. Award: $2500. Deadline: May 2nd.


UMPS Care Charities All-Star College Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors who will be enrolling as college freshmen and were adopted at age 13 or older. Award: up to $10,000. Deadline: May 13th.


WalterJ. Travis Society Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school and college students pursuing a career in landscape design/ golf course architecture; golf course turf grass management/golf course superintendent; professional golf management, club professional, or sports journalism with a special interest in golf. Award: $1000. Deadline: May 15th.


WOCN Scholarship program. This scholarship is open to Nurses seeking a Master's, or Doctorate degree as well as Nurse Practitioners. Award: amount is not disclosed. Deadlines: May 1st and November 1st.


WomenIn Scholarship. This scholarship is sponsored by Intel. It is open to women full time undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a career in game development including art, animation, programming and engineering. Award: amount is not disclosed. Deadline: May 31st.


Work Ethic Scholarship Program. This scholarship is offered by the Mike Rowe Works Foundation. This scholarship is open to individuals who are pursuing skilled labor careers. Older adults are also eligible. Award: amount is not disclosed. Deadline: TBD.
