45+ Scholarships with October 2022 Deadlines


The following scholarships include opportunities for high school students, undergraduate students, graduate school students, DACA students, and female students.


1st Financial Bank Financial Goals Scholarship. This is a monthly scholarship open to US residents age 18 and older who are planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a college degree program. This is a drawing or sweepstakes scholarship.

Award: $2000. Deadline: last day of every month


AES Engineering Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors as well as current college students pursuing any field of study.

Award: $500. Deadline: October 8th.


AIST Foundation Scholarships. These scholarships are open to full time undergraduate and graduate students from US, Canada or Mexico who are pursuing engineering technology majors in the following disciplines: metallurgy. Materials science, chemical, electrical, mechanical, industrial, environmental, computer science and safety.

Award: up to $6000. Deadline: October 3rd.


Alma Exley Scholarship Program. This scholarship is open to BIPOC undergraduate junior or senior students as well as graduate students pursuing a teaching degree at a college or university in Connecticut.

Award: $5000. Deadline: October 31st.


American Bullion Scholarship. This scholarship is open to full time undergraduate students in the United States pursuing any field.

Award: $1000. Deadline: October 31st.


AmericanTrucks Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors or full time students at a US technical institute, 2 or 4 year college or university program in traditional building trades including carpentry, HVAC, electrical or related fields of study. Certificate programs are eligible. All students ages 18+ are able to apply.

Award: $2500. Deadlines: October 15th and June 15th.


Annual Video Contest Scholarship for Students. This scholarship is open to high school, college and university students from any country.

Awards: up to $1,500 Deadline: October 31st.


AOTP Scholarship. This scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing Occupational Therapy programs. Applicants must have completed at least 1 full year of coursework related to occupational therapy.

Awards: up to $5000. Deadline: October 27th.


ASNT Fellowship Grant. This scholarship is open to graduate level and doctoral students pursuing science or technology research. This is a cash award.

Award: $20,000. Deadline: October 15th.


AWWA Academic Achievement Award. This scholarship is open to graduate level and doctoral students who have written a master’s thesis or dissertation on water supply. This scholarship is being offered from the American Water Works Association.

Awards: up to $3000. Deadline: October 1st.


Barbara A. Cooley Master’s Scholarship. This scholarship is from SHAPE America. It is open to graduate level students majoring in health education with a minimum GPA of 3.0 at a US college or university.

Award: $1000. Deadline: October 15th.


BEA Scholarships. These scholarships are open to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing broadcast and media careers. Multiple awards are offered.

Awards: up to $4000. Deadline: October 14th.


Bill Kane Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarship is from SHAPE America. It is open to undergraduate students majoring in health education with a minimum GPA of 3.25 at a US college or university. Award: $1000. Deadline: October 15th.


Binkley Toys Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students who have proof of enrollment with a college or university, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Award: $1,000. Deadline: October 15th.


Chicago Culinary Museum and Chefs Hall of Fame Museum. This scholarship is open to students enrolled in a culinary arts program.

Award: $500. Deadline: October 1st.


Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. This scholarship is open to high school seniors. Multiple awards are available.

Awards: up to $20,000. Deadline: October 31st.


CME Beef Industry Scholarship. This scholarship is offered from the National Cattlemen's Foundation. It is open to high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing careers in the beef industry.

Awards: $1500. Deadline: TBD.


CREW Chicago Scholarship. This scholarship is open to undergraduate juniors and seniors as well as graduate students pursuing careers in real estate, construction, urban planning or other related fields and have an interest in building a future in commercial real estate in the Chicago area. Award: $5000. Deadline: October 14th.


Dream Big Scholarship. This scholarship is from the company RentLingo. It is open to students ages 18+ who are attending a college or university. International students may apply. Award: $1000. Deadlines: October 1st and March 1st.


Dyslexia/Auditory Processing Disorder Scholarship. This scholarship is open to US and Canadian students with dyslexia and/or auditory processing disorder who are enrolled in an undergraduate college program.

Award: $1000. Deadline: October 31st.


Employment BOOST Academic Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors and 2 year and 4 year college students in the US with a GPA of 3.6 or higher. This scholarship is open to students pursuing any major. 1 scholarship will be given to a student pursuing any major and a 2nd scholarship will be given to a student pursuing business or STEM fields. Awards: $1000. Deadlines: accepted year round on a rolling basis.


Evans Scholars Foundation. This scholarship is from Western Golf Association. It is for high school seniors who have caddied for at least 2 years and have limited financial means. It covers full tuition and housing. Students must have a 3.3 minimum GPA.

Award: up to $120,000. Deadline: October 30th.


Extremeterrain Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing environmental studies, ecology, land use, earth and atmospheric sciences, sustainable land management, environmental biology, sustainable agricultural systems or parks and recreation.

Award: $2500. Deadlines: October 15th and June 15th.


Golden Door Scholarship. This scholarship is for DACA an undocumented students who are high school seniors and current undergraduates. Applicants must have a high GPA and have demonstrated leadership and community service.

Award: up to $40,000. Deadline: October 23rd.


Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship Program. This scholarship is open to Wisconsin high school seniors. Students will be evaluated on their leadership, citizenship, school and community involvement.

Award: $10,000. Deadline: October 4th.


IFA Foundation Scholarships. These scholarships are open to US undergraduate college students in their sophomore, junior and senior year studying business, hospitality, franchise management or entrepreneurship.

Award: $1500. Deadline: October 31st.


Innovation in Education Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school and college students who have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others with a GPA minimum of 3.0. Open to students in the US and Canada.

Award: $500 and repeats monthly. Deadline: 20th of every month.


International Essential Tremor Foundation. This scholarship is open to high school graduates of any age who have been diagnosed with ET, have a GPA minimum of 2.5 and are attending a licensed accredited institution.

Award: $1000. Deadlines: October 31st and May 1st.


Janie Moore Greene Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students who are accepted into college programs or are currently enrolled college students pursuing photography.

Award: $2000. Deadline: October 30th.


Lithuanian Foundation Scholarship. This scholarship is open to undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students of Lithuanian heritage. Multiple awards offered.

Award: amounts are not disclosed. Deadline: October 1st.


Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship. This scholarship is open to graduate level students pursuing crystallography related fields.

Award: $2500. Deadline: October 13th.


MyMozaic Scholarship. This monthly scholarship is open to US citizens ages 13 and older. This is a scholarship sweepstakes or drawing.

Award: $1,000 Deadline: the last day of every month.


National Rice Month Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors from AR, CA, LA, MI, MS and TX (the 6 main rice growing states in the United States). Create a video of 3 minutes or less about US grown rice and upload to social media.

Awards: up to $5000. Deadline: October 31st.


NSCA Foundation Scholarship. This scholarship is from the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation. These opportunities are open to high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students. Community college students are also eligible. International applicants may apply. Must be pursuing a career in the strength and conditioning field. Degree majors may include exercise science, human performance, physical therapy, strength and conditioning, athletic training, exercise physiology, human biology, anatomy, biomedical engineering, physiology, physical education, kinesiology, sport science, physiotherapy, sport coaching, education, health, sports and fitness administration or sports medicine. Award: $2000. Deadline: October 15th.


Paramount Builders, Inc. Scholarship. This scholarship is open to full time US undergraduate college students pursuing marketing, business management, sales or related fields who have a GPA minimum of 3.5. Award: $1000. Deadline: October 1st.


Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans. This scholarship is open to New Americans, immigrants or children of immigrants who are pursuing graduate school in the United States. Awards: up to $90,000. Deadline: October 27th.


Prevounce Preventive Health Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a career in healthcare, medicine, nursing or public health in the US.

Award: $2500. Deadline: October 15th.


Rhodes Scholarships for the United States of America. This is the oldest (first awarded in 1902) and perhaps most prestigious international scholarship program enabling students to study at Oxford University. The award covers tuition, all fees and also includes a living stipend. 100 scholarships are awarded each year. This scholarship is open to students ages 18-24 who have completed an undergraduate degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7. US citizens as well as DACA eligible students are able to apply.

Award: TBD Deadline: October 3rd.


SBB Research Group STEM Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students enrolled full time at a college or university, who are pursuing STEM fields (science, technology, engineering or mathematics). Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5. This scholarship is open to students worldwide and there are no age restrictions.

Award: $2,500. Deadline: is on a rolling basis (12 awarded per year).


Save a Life Scholarship. This scholarship is from the American Academy of CPR and First Aid. It is open to high school seniors or current college students pursuing or planning to pursue careers in either healthcare or education.

Award: $1500. Deadlines: May 1st and October 1st.


ShearComfort Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students enrolled in either an engineering program related to the development of vehicles (mechanical engineering, automotive, aerospace, production, electrical, etc.) automotive technology or a similar program related to the automotive industry at an accredited college or university in Canada or the United States. Applicants must be either a US or Canadian citizen.

Award: $1500. Deadlines: April 15th and October 15th.


Sphinx Competition. This scholarship is open to Black and Latinx classical string players. The Junior Division competition is open to musicians ages 17 and under and the Senior Division is open to musicians age 18 - 30. Applicants must be US citizens.

Awards: up to $50,000. Deadline: October 20th.


Student Loan Hero Scholarship. This scholarship is from Student Loan Hero, a Lending Tree company. It is open to students ages 18+ who are enrolled at a college or university in the US. Awards: up to $5000. Deadlines: October 4th and April 18th.


Texas Women Empowerment Scholarship. This scholarship is open to female high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate women students from Texas. Students are eligible to apply for this scholarship if they are going into fields such as pre-law, political science, public health, medicine, and other related fields. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to apply. Awards: $2,000. Deadline: October 1st.


Voice of Democracy Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students in high school and middle school in the US who are passionate about democracy.

Awards: up to $30,000. Deadline: October 31st.


Web Design Scholarship. This scholarship is from the company Lounge Lizard. It is open to high school seniors planning to enroll into college within 6 months of the application as well as current college students in the US. Must submit a web design file for consideration of the scholarship.

Award: $1000. Deadlines: October 3rd and February 19th.


#WeBelongInCollege Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors, college students, and graduate school students. Must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or have undocumented/DACA status.

Awards: Multiple of $2,500. Deadline: October 31st.

Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students ages 14 and older. Write a short 250 word or less essay about battling a zombie apocalypse.

Award: $2000. Deadline: October 31st.
