35+ Scholarships with October 2024 Deadlines


The following scholarships include opportunities for elementary school students, middle school students, high school students, undergraduate, graduate school, doctoral, and adult students.

1st Financial Bank Financial Goals Scholarship. This is a monthly scholarship open to US residents aged 18 and older who are planning to enroll or are currently enrolled in a college degree program. This is an essay-based scholarship that centers around the importance of incorporating financial literacy into one’s college career. The deadline is the last day of every month. Award of $2000. 


AES Engineering Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors as well as current college students pursuing any field of study. Award is $500. Deadline is October 8th. 


AIST Premier Scholarships. These scholarships are open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students from the US, Canada, or Mexico who are pursuing engineering technology majors in the following disciplines: metallurgy. Materials science, chemical, electrical, mechanical, industrial, environmental, computer science, and safety. Awards of $7500 plus a paid internship. Deadline is October 14th. 


American Bullion Scholarship. This scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students in the United States pursuing any field—an award of $1000. Deadline is October 31st. 


American Trucks Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors or full-time students at a US technical institute, 2 or 4-year college or university program in traditional building trades including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, or related fields of study. Certificate programs are eligible. All students ages 18+ are able to apply. Award is $2500. Deadlines are October 15th and June 15th. 


Annual Video Contest Scholarship for Students. This scholarship is open to high school, college, and university students from any country. Awards up to $1,500 (The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship. The runner-up prize is $500). Deadline is October 31st. 


Armenian American Medical Society Scholarship. This scholarship is for students enrolled in a US medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, nursing, or other healthcare school. The amount is not disclosed. It is open to students of Armenian descent or who have a special interest in Armenian medical causes or Armenian health and community service. Multiple awards are offered. Award is $2,500. Deadline is October 15th. 


AWWA Academic Achievement Award. This scholarship is open to graduate-level and doctoral students who have written a master’s thesis or dissertation on water supply. This scholarship is being offered by the American Water Works Association. Awards of up to $3000. Deadline is October 1st. 


Barbara A. Cooley Master’s Scholarship. This scholarship is from SHAPE America. It is open to graduate-level students majoring in health education with a minimum GPA of 3.0 at a US college or university. The award is $1000, The Deadline is October 15th. 


BEA Scholarships. These scholarships are open to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing broadcast and media careers. Multiple awards are offered. Awards of up to $4000. Deadline is October 16th. 


Bill Kane Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarship is from SHAPE America. It is open to undergraduate students majoring in health education with a minimum GPA of 3.25 at a US college or university. The award is $1000, The Deadline is October 15th. 


Brian J. Boley Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school students interested in pursuing a degree to support those with mental illness or addiction. Award is $500. Deadline is October 5th. 


Chadwick D. McNab Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is open to undergraduate students majoring in or planning to major in computer science and related technology fields. To apply, write about a project you worked on that you were passionate about, and share how working in technology inspires you. Award is $1,000. Deadline is October 14th. 


Chicago Culinary Museum and Chefs Hall of Fame Museum. This scholarship is open to students enrolled in a culinary arts program. Award of $500. Deadline is October 1st. 


College Jumpstart Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade high school students as well as trade school and undergraduate students of any age. There are no age limits. DACA and international students are eligible. Award is $1000. The deadline is October 17th. 


Dyslexia/Auditory Processing Disorder Scholarship. This scholarship is open to US and Canadian students with dyslexia and/or auditory processing disorder who are enrolled in an undergraduate college program. Award is $1000. Deadline is October 31st. 


Employment BOOST Academic Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors and 2 year and 4 year college students in the US with a GPA of 3.6 or higher. This scholarship is open to students pursuing any major. 1 scholarship will be given to a student pursuing any major and a 2nd scholarship will be given to a student pursuing business or STEM fields. Deadlines are accepted year round on a rolling basis. Awards of $1000. 


Evans Scholars Foundation. This scholarship is from Western Golf Association. It is for high school seniors who have caddied for at least 2 years and have limited financial means. This is a full tuition scholarship. Students must have a 3.3 minimum 

GPA. Deadline is October 15th.


Extremeterrain Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing environmental studies, ecology, land use, earth and atmospheric sciences, sustainable land management, environmental biology, sustainable agricultural systems or parks and recreation. The award is $2500 and deadlines are October 15th and June 15th. 


Fulbright US Student Program. This is an extremely prestigious program open to high school seniors, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and professionals with up to 5 years of professional study or experience in their field. This award covers all expenses including travel and a living stipend for open study/research, serving as an English Teaching Assistant, or in public health or National Geographic storytelling. The deadline is October 8th. 


Golden Door Scholarship. This scholarship is for DACA and undocumented students who are high school seniors and current undergraduates. Applicants must have a high GPA and have demonstrated leadership and community service. The award is up to $40,000. Deadline is October 1st. 


Innovation in Education Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school and college students who have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others with a GPA minimum of 3.0. The award is $500 and repeats monthly. Open to students in the US and Canada. The deadline is the 20th of every month.


ISA with World Strides Scholarships. Multiple opportunities are available with this scholarship program for studying abroad or opting to travel during a gap year. Students can travel and have an immersive experience in Spain, England, South Korea, New Zealand, and Australia. Awards are up to $5000. Deadlines of October 30th, February 28th, and April 30th exist for applications depending on the location of travel. 


Lithuanian Foundation Scholarship. This scholarship is open to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students of Lithuanian heritage. Multiple awards are offered. Award amounts are not disclosed. The deadline is October 1st.


Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship. This scholarship is open to graduate-level students pursuing crystallography-related fields. Award of $2500. The deadline is October 10th. 


Michael Rudometkin Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students of any age who have dedicated time to serve their community. Award is $1000. Deadline is October 23rd. 


MyMozaic Scholarship. This $1,000 monthly scholarship is open to US citizens ages 13 and older. The deadline is the last day of every month. This is a scholarship sweepstakes or drawing.  


National Rice Month Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors from AR, CA, LA, MI, MS, and TX (the 6 main rice-growing states in the United States). Create a video of 3 minutes or less about US-grown rice and upload it to social media—awards of up to $5000. Deadline is October 15th. 


NSCA Foundation Scholarship. This scholarship is from the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation. These opportunities are open to high school seniors, and undergraduate and graduate students. Community college students are also eligible. International applicants may apply. Must be pursuing a career in the strength and conditioning field. Degree majors may include exercise science, human performance, physical therapy, strength and conditioning, athletic training, exercise physiology, human biology, anatomy, biomedical engineering, physiology, physical education, kinesiology, sport science, physiotherapy, sport coaching, education, health, sports and fitness administration or sports medicine. Award is $2000. Deadline is October 15th.


Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans. This scholarship is open to New Americans or children of immigrants pursuing graduate school in the United States. Awards of up to $90,000. The deadline is October 31st.


Prevounce Preventive Health Scholarship. This scholarship is open to high school seniors, and undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a career in healthcare, medicine, nursing, or public health in the US. Award is $2500. Deadline is October 15th. 


Price it Here, Inc. Scholarship. This $1000 scholarship is open to all students planning to enroll or are currently enrolled full-time at a US college or university. Students must be pursuing business, business management, advertising, sales, marketing, or related fields. There is no GPA requirement and according to the scholarship description, “at no time will we request a date of birth or social security number”. Deadline is October 1st. 


Rhodes Scholarships for the United States of America. This is the oldest (first awarded in 1902) and perhaps most prestigious international scholarship program enabling students to study at Oxford University. The award covers tuition, and all fees and also includes a living stipend. 100 scholarships are awarded each year. This scholarship is open to students ages 18-24 who have completed an undergraduate degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7. US citizens as well as DACA-eligible students are able to apply. Deadline is October 2nd. 


SBB Research Group STEM Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students enrolled full-time at a college or university, who are pursuing STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics). Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5. Deadline is on a rolling basis (12 awarded per year). Award is $2,500. This scholarship is open to students worldwide and there are no age restrictions. 


Sphinx Competition. This scholarship is open to Black and Latinx classical string players. The Junior Division competition is open to musicians ages 17 and under and the Senior Division is open to musicians ages 18 - 30. Applicants must be US citizens. Awards of up to $50,000. Deadline is October 20th. 


The Explorers Club Student Grants. This scholarship is for high school, undergraduate, graduate, and immediate post-doc students, who are interested in scientific exploration. Award of up to $40,000. Multiple grants. Some have rolling deadlines. All vary in amount and deadline.  Deadlines are in October or November year. 


Voice of Democracy Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students in high school and middle school in the US who are passionate about democracy. Awards of up to $30,000. Deadline is October 31st. 


Web Design Scholarship. This scholarship is from the company Lounge Lizard. It is open to high school seniors planning to enroll in college within 6 months of the application as well as current college students in the US. Must submit a web design file for consideration of the scholarship. Award is $1000. Deadlines are February 18th and October 2nd. 


Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship. This scholarship is open to students ages 14 and older. Write a short 250 word or less essay about battling a zombie apocalypse. Award is $2000. Deadline is October 31st.
